AWB
Basel is recognized as Switzerland’s architectural capital. Hardly any other region in Europe is home to so many internationally active architectural offices and so many important buildings. In order to showcase the highly diverse potential of building culture, expertise and enthusiasm in the city and surrounding area, the foundation «Architektur Dialoge Basel» has initiated the biennial platform for architecture and urban development «Architekturwoche Basel» (AWB) in the year 2022. The second edition will take place from September 7 to 13, 2024.

Prospects
We are looking for new organizers!
In January 2025, we, the Architektur Dialoge Foundation, informed, that the organizational and financial costs of the AWB exceed our capabilities.
The cantonal and city development authorities of Basel-Stadt are now actively exploring the possibility of finding a new responsible body. We will report on this as soon as we have further information.

Review AWB 2024
The second edition of Architekturwoche Basel took place from 7 to 13 September 2024 and welcomed over 5’000 visitors from the region, Switzerland and abroad.
