As part of the “S AM FM” project, three artists have been invited to stage sound-based interventions.
Radio Otherwise sets up a temporary open-air radio studio on the floating platform Insola in the Rummelsburger Bucht in Berlin to explore the diverse waves in the environment - both electromagnetic and those on the water surface. The work constantly transforms over time as various antennas, microphones, receivers and detectors are tested, set up and integrated live into the platform's infrastructure. The work is simultaneously sent to the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, where the cooperative Soundcamp records the sounds and simultaneously feeds other sounds into the performance from a distance.
