Over the course of five days during the Basel Architecture Week, the S AM invites the international arts cooperative Soundcamp to take up residence in its museum spaces and transmit live sounds from un-seen and less-heard spaces and situations. The project explores radio as a way to mediate multiple ecologies: to render perceptible the spaces and environments around us on the one hand, and to create new constellations of people and practice on the other. The live broadcast (which can be listened into online) will be augmented by a series of participatory workshops and performances. To follow the current program, listen in, or get involved, please check the link under "More information". A project in collaboration with LINA, co-funded by Creative Europe.
During the museum opening hours, Soundcamp will be in residence in the museum spaces. Visitors are encouraged to come by, listen in, and get involved. They can build stream boxes and microphones, take out boxes for their own use, or suggest interventions of their own. We have an invitation card that outlines some of the potential forms of collaboration.
