Sensing Critical Zones
The conference will present the "Gaiagraphies" research project, which aims to create innovative cartographies of observatories of the critical zone, as new cosmograms for thinking the Earth, architecture and science together. Continuing the work begun with Terra Forma (a book of speculative maps), this research contributes to renewing our understanding of landscapes on a planetary scale, by relying on sensors deployed by scientists in the critical zones.
