We are profoundly happy to present the project RESONANCE by Tim Berresheim, rāumen, swstudio, and Wolfgang Zeh as the winner. The interdisciplinary team managed to convince the jury of their intent to change the perception of the built structure through intangible means that already define the current building: sound and light and extraordinary space itself. By this they not only emphasise what is there but show the topic of repurposing and transforming in a subtle and tactile way. Just as the challenges on our built environment change, the team offered a suggestion that brings in alternative means and tools to the field of architecture. By that it fulfils the last criteria set to the teams: to provide an intervention, an experiment that we get to experience during the AWB’24.
