movements - the city as a soundscape

A guided tour through the city takes you into the poetic "space of music"

movements is a project by studio-klangraum that brings the city to life as a soundscape: Sitting on a mobile platform with your eyes covered – Being driven around the Heuwaage Basel – Listening to the everyday sounds on site with special attentiveness – Music that complements or comments on these sounds – And which sometimes takes you somewhere else: into the poetic "space of music".

On chairs by Peter Affentranger, on a route by Samuel Schultze, based on a concept by Beat Gysin. With Stephen Menotti (trombone). The guests change roles: Sometimes they sit on a platform, sometimes they push a platform. Wheelchair users and the visually impaired are welcome by prior arrangement.

With the kind support of the Geschwister Meier Foundation.
