Walnut trees have always shaped our landscape and troughout history had numerous cultural and aesthetic connotations. For centuries their fruits provided (culinary) delights. The “Stiftung Gartenbaubibliothek Basel” (Foundation for the Library of Horticulture Basel) event series literally starts on a small scale. Jonas Frei, the author of the publication “The Walnut”, will show you around the walnut trees of Kannenfeldpark and present his book.
