Landscape architects are increasingly faced with the challenge of project parcels without connection to the underlying soil, since most of it is covered with large basements. At the same time, the cries for more green space – especially in cities – are growing. A guided tour through the surroundings of Coop headquarters and the main entrance of Novartis Campus, by Beat Breitenfeld (Fahrni and Breitenfeld LA) and Tobias Luchsinger (Stauffer Rösch LA) will illuminate the diverse requirements that have to be met when planning and building such landcsapes.
