Allotment gardens are a reflection of identities, dreams and visions. They have deep cultural roots and are an expression of our relationship with nature in urban areas. In times of climate crisis, endangered biodiversity and fast-paced urban life, there is a growing desire for more space to cultivate plants, take care of things and grow our own food. We take a stroll through allotment gardens and visit people who are preserving a piece of nature in order to create a garden. The intimate garden is never just a place of retreat, but always reflects the social, political and cultural interests and value systems of our society. Our participatory exchange deals with the urbanistic concept of connecting city and garden.
