Pilsoo Maing received a Bachelor of Science and MS in Architecture from the Seoul National University, and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He has been teaching in the Department of Architecture and Architecutural Engineering at Seoul National University since 2023.
Major works include completed works such as Nodeul Island, Yongin Tabor Mountain Spiritual Center, Dongseong High School venus hall, and Dangjin Nanji Island. He won the Korean Architecture Award, the Korea Public Architecture Award, the Seoul Metropolitan Architecture Award, the Gyeonggi-do Architectural Culture Award, and the Architizer A+Award, and participated in the 2017 and 2023 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.
