Ahn Joong Wookearned his Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Hanyang University. Since 2013, he has been working in the field of urban and architectural administration at the Seoul Metropolitan Government. As of July 2024, he serves as the head of the department responsible for major urban space planning, urban architectural design innovation, and improving the quality of public buildings in Seoul. He has led key projects such as the Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo, Nodeul Island, and the Namsan Yejang Garden.
In addition, he has been involved in various tasks related to urban regeneration, redevelopment, and the construction and permitting of public housing.
