Esther Baur is an architect MA FHNW and initiated the annual architecture event Open House Basel together with a team in May 2018. As overall director, she is responsible for the program, the coordination of all areas and for the management. As a cooperation partner, she curates and organizes the AWB Tours format for Architecture Week Basel 2024. She is also a member of the board of trustees of Architektur Dialoge, is responsible for the annual series of lunchtime tours and is a delegate on the advisory board of Architekturwoche Basel. Previously, after 8 years of professional experience in design, project planning and creative construction management, she completed the MAS at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at ETH Zurich. The communication of high-quality building culture and the promotion of dialog between professionals and laypeople form the focus of her additional independent activities.
