Choon Choi is currently a Full Professor and the Director of the B.Arch program at Seoul National University. Choon’s primary area of research is the adaptive reuse of architectural heritage, examining the social and cultural values of ordinary buildings. Choon was a curator for the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism (2021) and the Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2018). His academic career began at Parsons School of Design and Columbia GSAPP in New York. In Korea, he taught at Konkuk University and Korea University before joining the Department of Architecture at SNU in 2013.
