As Project Manager at the ecoinvent association, Dimitra leads various projects related to the construction sector. She has managed the creation of a new product in the database for Environmental Product Declaration practitioners and she is in charge of new environmental data for building materials. Before joining ecoinvent, she worked for five years in the construction sector.
Dimitra studied Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (2006), she was a Fulbright scholar at Stanford for her Master (2008) and she holds a PhD from ETH Zurich on Sustainable Construction (2016). During her doctoral research, she looked at environmental, social and economic aspects of construction with stone. During her postdoctoral research under the fellowship of the Swiss NSF, she collaborated with the University of Bordeaux and the University of California, Santa Barbara, working on the issue of scarcity of construction resources.
